Performance, 10 minutes

A body is held between two forces: the relentless pressure of a hyperconnected world, and the overwhelming presence of loss.
Held in the In-Between moves between noise and silence, chaos and stillness, body and emotion. Rather than offering a statement or an answer, the performance reflects on grief, exhaustion and uncertainty, shaped by the constant flow of information, personal loss, ongoing conflicts and wars, including the devastating loss of life in Iran.

Within this weight is also a deeply human wish for freedom and peace; for moments of beauty, movement and expression that continue to exist even in times of profound grief. The body becomes both witness and carrier, moving between interruption and release, searching for peace. The work carries an echo of my Persian heritage, where poetry, art, dance and philosophy have long been intertwined with memory, identity and the human wish for freedom and expression.

Across generations, they have offered ways of carrying what cannot always be spoken — through celebration and grief, beauty and resistance, loss and hope. Within the performance, movement, sound, interruption and silence become part of that same language, giving form to what we carry when words are no longer enough.
